Using Journal Entries

When you first enter the Journal Entries option a Select An Option window appears and displays the following choices:

You are given the option to print a journal entry after you have added, changed, or viewed an entry. Command options will appear allowing you to print journal entries or choose from a set of other print options.

Note: To view a list of the journal entries and their corresponding reference numbers, use the Journal Entry Activity Report or Posted Transaction List.

If you select Standard Journal Entries, the system will allow you to exit, add a standard journal entry, print a list of standard journal entries, or view (and make modifications) to existing standard journal entries. See Standard Journal Entries.

Note: If a reversing journal entry is posted into the current period, the system will create an un-posted accounting batch for the following period. That future period batch will be available to post once the current period has been closed.
